Pinglong is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, vice chairman of the Shanghai Artists Association, director of the Watercolor Pastel Painting Art Committee of the Shanghai Artists Association, vice president of the Shanghai Chinese and Foreign Culture and Art Exchange Association (and chairman of the Watercolor Professional Committee), Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology Master's tutor at the School of Art and Design.

The main awards include: 1990 China Watercolor Painting Exhibition (Second Prize), 1992 First National Watercolor and Pastel Painting Exhibition (Excellent Work Award), 1994 Shanghai Teacher Art Festival Painting Exhibition (First Prize), 1995 "I Love Shanghai" Art Exhibition (Excellent Work Award), the Ninth National Art Exhibition in 1999 (Bronze Award), the Fifth National Watercolor and Pastel Painting Exhibition in 2000 (Bronze Award), the Sixth National Watercolor and Pastel Painting Exhibition in 2002 (Silver Award) Award), 2003 National Watercolor Sketch Exhibition (Gold Award), 2013 Seventh Shanghai Art Exhibition (Excellent Works Award). The first prize of painting works in the theme activity of "Painting Shanghai" in 2018.
